Labeled Containers
Let’s start with the most basic tip: label your containers. Because you don’t want to put salt instead of powdered white sugar when making tea. Labeling containers is the first step to Organizing your pantry. It’s easier for things in the pantry to look like other things and, if it’s not labeled, you might just confuse what exactly you are looking when you are holding a container. So, get to labeling. By doing it, you also fix a container for one thing and thus, you don’t put brown sugar in a container of a spice that looks the same, ruining both.

Every home chef has a list of ingredients that they frequently us. So why not save time and keep them within hand’s reach? The easy access will simplify the cooking as most of the things you need, you can get without moving much.
Divide the Pantry into Zone
Like you separated the commonly used ingredients and placed them near you and made a zone out of it, make zones for other things as well. Baking items in one zone, spices in another, vegetables separately, and fruits in a different one. Have separate zones for perishable food, non-perishable food, plastics, and metal dishes, too. When this happens, your hands will reach for what it needs without thinking.
Stack Up The Jars
One of the reasons people complain about the lack of space is because they don’t utilize it properly. If you have space above a jar, use it by putting another jar atop it. This efficient use of space will also make the pantry look that it has good stuff to cook with. Any guest instantly will be happy to look at your pantry.
Add a Whiteboard to Write What to Buy Next Time Grocery Shopping
It’s not always easy to keep track of what items you have consumed and need to replenish the stock. So, hang a whiteboard on the pantry. Every time a container is empty or almost empty, write its’ item on the whiteboard. This way you only need to look at the board to see what you need to buy on your next trip to grocery shop.
With the above-mentioned steps, you can not only organize your pantry in a way that is comfortable to you but also make it look prettier. Organizing your pantry might take up your entire day, if not the whole weekend, but you’ll find it’s a much better option than the mess it was before.
